I have made up my mind about the next UFO, so is anybody else ready?

I'm not too sure how to put this, but I have a finished quilt to finish. The quilt has been shown a couple of times, but my son and I were still discussing the final quilting bits for his quilt. We made up our minds ages ago, and he wants his quilt, so it must be finished by Christmas.
So, this month, I will get at least half the additional quilting done. Should have stopped thinking about it ealier in the month and got it out of the cupboard then, so now there is less than three weeks to go!
You can guess what next months UFO will be!
I have made a start on this cycle's project. It is a stuffed hand! And, yes, I know that sounds weird - and would have been a perfect Halloween project! But if I could get things like that done before Halloween, I wouldn't need to join a UFO group, would I?

Anyway, I posted a before and in-progress picture on my blog. I am planning to have the hand holding a ball or something so it can be used as a pincushion.
Yay. I am at the end stages of finishing October's UFO and have now started on November's.

When I first got my new embroidery machine software I did some experimenting of using the different functions, and so as to not waste the work I sewed them out. they are all butterflies which I stitched out onto fabrics I had dyed myself - the little leftover pieces after using the dyed fabric for other projects. I put it together and then into the UFO cupboard it went, about 3 years ago. Now this month I have added the border, and am over half way through quilting it.
Wow, that is great progress.
And it was a good idea to stitch something you could use as practice pieces.
I have finished December's UFO and I am sooooo happy. I have been working on a quilt for our bed for years. It is all hand applique, hand pieced and hand quilted. Only machine work was putting prairie points around the edge of it. For the last - well ages - all that was needed was the prairie points on two sides but I kept putting it off. Yesterday I decided that it was time and I sheepishly admit it was done in the day. (Oh why do I do it??????)

Anyway thanks to the challenge of this group it is done. Now I need to try to work out Flickr to put up a photo.
Well I think I have added this to Flickr but would love for someone to tell me if it is there. (My flickr name is Mardi52).
It is there, and I am drooling! It is simple, old fashioned and just beautiful!
Judy, thank you for checking that out and letting me know. And for your comments above. It is described in the pattern as 1850's 9 patch so guess old fashioned is the word.
That's OK, any chance to drool over something that lovely is my priviledge.
I have a couple I need to finish hoping this year to put a dint in them
