Fiona...I agree, they are truly attempting to take over the world. I KNOW that they have taken over my art room!! I am in the process of cleaning up and finishing several things begun! Good luck on your finishing. It is a difficult road!

Hi,
I'm new to Stitcin Fingers and to this group. In February I got my craft room cleaned up and the crafts there organized and photographed. I don't have the pictures of UFOs and WISPs up on Flickr yet, but I have a list of them on listology.com. If anyone is interested this partial list is under the username zaijovan. Right now I'm working on finishing up some plastic canvas coasters.

My UFO s are going down this year. I have finished three (3) punch needle pieces, one (1) candlewick piece, and almost finished with a hand made quilt. It is a project a friend and I were suppose to start together..... I did, she did not. I am now quilting the last row. I want to finish so I can start a dear jane quilt. This will be an on going UFO for a long time.
I do have one more wall hanger quilt, but it is ok if I never finish it. It was to go on a wall in a house we use to live in. But where we are now, no wall space available and collors are all wrong.

A little O/T
Check out this blog.... http://bittybitsandpieces.blogspot.com/ Great blog and there is a give away on it. Check it out. It is called "Spreading the Love" . You may be intersted in signing up for her give aways. I did... It is a quilting blog and the owner is giving away two nice prizes. If not interested, enjoy her blog anyway.

New to the site & several groups here. Still exploring how things work.
I've managed 4 UFO's since October.Finished my Y2K quilt top in a sudden burst of "need to finish" something. Anything! It will get machine quilted just as soon as the spare change jar fills up (a few times). Quilt top is huge and beyond my ability to shove through a regular machine to quilt.
Checked out the Flickr site but does not seem very active?
Saw a Beautiful 9-patch & posey quilt while there ;)

Hi there
Thank you for letting me join this group.
I am a newbie and have 4 UFOs to finish . I did have 7 quilts of all designs and sizes to finish but i managed to finish 2 this year . This was because i had some of the project already sewn together and the rest all cut and ready to sew,
Also my fabrics were stored and i was not able to get them out and start another project as we were renovating my work room and it was easier to sew the UFOs that i had already started.
I am pleased to say that the 2 i finished were lovely and i feel great for finishing
them. My room is now finished and i have just created a lap quilt for my sisters christmas pressi. LOL but i still have 5 more UFOs to finish as well as lovely ideas for more projects in my head.
I find i also lose my motivation when i have family problems to sort out as well as everyday chores and work.
Its great to know that there are others out there who also have UFOs sitting in bags, drawers, cupboards and corners.
I will keep you all posted on my progress.

Hi, y'all! I figured I'd better join this group because my UFO's are beginning to take over -- I drag them out to look at them and leave them out as reminders but all it does is depress me because I have no motivation (bad time in my life right now). So I thought if I were with this group, it would help cheer me to know that I'm not the only one and that we can mutually motivate...here's hoping!!

Hi Ellie,
Sorry to tell you this, but I'm opting out of this Group for the time being. My UFOs are mostly objects that were started by other people a long time ago, that I have found in opshops or on eBay, and there are probably about 100 of them. I tend to pick one up and do a bit, then put it down, and find another one, do a bit of that, so your format of luna cycles and things would not really work for me! Also I have a lot of other stuff I want to do this year, and won't have time to commit to finishing a UFO like I had originally intended to do. I'll have another think about it next year!

I've been rearranging my sewing room at about the same time I discovered this group and started making a list of UFOs. The list is rather longer than I thought it was, as I keep finding more projects... Still, if I haven't started it yet, I figure it's not a UFO (yet).

I need to be more responsible about finishing things I start. This is a good place for me to be.
