Comment by Kathryn Cooke on December 26, 2012 at 11:43 Just a quick message for the benefit of our new (or potentially new) ATC group members. Each month we select a theme for making a single ATC to swap with one other of the group members. The theme is posted in the ‘discussions’ and members are invited to take part in the swap and to sign up via the discussion. At the beginning of the month, swap partners are allocated and each person then makes one ATC (2.5 x 3.5 inch in size)… cross-stitch, quilted, felted, appliquéd, embroidered or whatever….. on the agreed theme. Swap partners then message each other for postal addresses (not using public forum for safety reasons), and pop their ATC’s in the mail. The aim is to get your card to your partner by the end of the month…. try out new techniques, enjoy the creative process , meet like minded friends and have fun… …!) Kate
Comment by Karen Gass on December 24, 2012 at 14:02 hi :) I just joined Stitchin Fingers the other day and today I'm looking at groups. So coincidental that I found this group, because I was at Michaels the other day and bought two packages of ATC's - one watercolor paper and one Vellum surface - and I had no idea why. I've never done this before, but the little cards, even blank, were just so darn cute! So, here I am, hoping to learn how to do this and do some trading! :) Merry Christmas!!
Comment by Kathryn Cooke on December 24, 2012 at 8:09 A big thank you to Trillian for every ATC swap hosted this year and also to all the talented ladies who have participated. May I wish all our friends a Happy and Creative 2013
