2011-01 January

December is almost over so its time to think about next month's/next year's swap.

I will start with some suggestions for the theme, but I'd love to hear suggestions from you.

I was thinking about dragonflies or contrast. With contrast there are a lot of possibilities like dark-light/color contrast/hard-soft/sweet-ugly, well you get the idea.

Johoanna, I got you on the list for this swap. I'd love to hear your choice of theme.

well, the NZ post office acted very strangely and returned the Jan. ATC I had sent to Annet in The Netherlands to me, with no explanation. ????? !

Anyway I have doubled checked her address with Annet and sent the ATC off again. I have chosen a more expensive delivery option so hopefully this time it will get delivered correctly.

Thank you for putting the picture up Annet. I am so glad you like my little ATC.

I combined smooth and textured stitches using perle cotton, beads and spangles, lace and metal findings. The findings were from my husband's workshop and the background is a photo of an oil-stained garage floor printed onto calico.
