Thanks Kristina, this is great, I've actually got a book from the Library, they don't have alot on stumpwork unfortately, and I have this book at home in OZ. It's Jane Nicholas' Complete book of stumpwork and it has some great bugs in there. Thank you so much for your help.

Sharon, some of us are doing a Stitch-along on a started kit. You can read about it in the 'Summer Harvest - Crab Apple' discussion above. Some have already completed their's and I am sure they would be happy to give you the benefit of their experience.

Others (me!) have yet to start theirs :-)

I have just loaded some photos one of which is a stumpwork deer, and in the cavalier picture bottom left hand corner is a ladybird but a bit hard to see, you will have to zoom in!

Thanks in advance.

Would this be for someone who like to learn how to do stumpwork? I would love to learn this. I have done some hand stitching but have always admired this kind of raised stitching.

Hello Everyone, I have been stitching and beading a doll, I call her Miss Shamrock for a friend in Texas. I created a BE Shamrock flower. I have pics of her on My Page. Hugs Judy

Amber. With reference to the previous entry, I have put photos of the two flowers Iris and Poppy into my photos for you to see. These are the two that have been worked by my beginner students. Grace

Amber. I could try to send you one of my designs in Stumpwork to try if you like. I have done some designs of flowers etc, for the workshops I give and my students were complete beginners. I have sent some of these designs to friends in another Forum and they have been able to do them. Let me know and I will try to send them. Grace

Hello Everyone,

On My Page and on my blog you will find my first attempt at doing a Brazilian Embroidery Project. Instead of the field flowers being french knots I added beads instead. The circle looked empty so I added tatted dragonflies and a butterfly. I am hooked. I enjoyed learning all the new stitches and the BE threads create such a nice and shiny look to your project. I have order more threads and books because I have fallen in love with BE. vbg Hugs Judy
