Oh good everything uploaded. I do have a question. Is there a maximum size to stumpwork? For example: are a cherry the size of a pea and a life sized cherry both stumpwork or does the larger cherry become needlework embellishment?

Well, I made my first atempt at stumpwork. I posted about it on my blog: http://sudukc.wordpress.com/ And I will try and upload the picture here

Well Sandra, you tell us what 'duging' means to you and then we can see if we understand! I, as a Brit, would say it means to bodge a job or to blur something s bit.

Sandy as a fellow aussie do you know if other countries know what we mean by fudging? I know we can throw the USA off with our slang. Great work. Sandy

At 9.30 GMT this evening, 'Faith' the 16 century Jacket recreated by Plimoth Plantation and recently featured in Stitched will be revealed at a function in Boston. AND live on their blog The Embroiderer's Story.

Hi all, I have just added a free pattern for a christmas holly on my blog http://www.goldnstitches.typepad.com/ . Part one and two are already on the blog and the remainder will be added over the next couple of days. Enjoy

I've been talking to the lady (seller). I'm buying a antique velvet heavily fringed cushion cover from her and so we've had quite a few chats in the last week.
Spotted in a group of items what looks like real vintage metal painted Purl (like the silk covered purl, not goldwork purl) - but can't be sure. So now she has learnt all about Stumpwork.

I hope it's ok that I put that up under Stitchin' Fingers rules. I'm not advertising for myself - I just thought they were interesting, and possibly useful to someone.
