Tricia and I started this group to work on stash bustin’. This discussion is for members who are interested in swapping some of their unwanted (what were you thinking?) stash for another’s stash you’ve just got to have! This can include anything that is fiber related including books, patterns, fibers, fabrics, etc. If you are going to post an item or items to be swapped here, you must also post a good photo, an accurate description including the approximate value and what you would be interested in receiving in return. You should also take into consideration the postage especially if one of you is shipping something heavy and the other is a light package. If instead of a swap, one member would like a cash transaction, that is up to you both to make that decision and decide on form of payment etc.

If you would like to swap with someone, please contact that person directly by leaving a comment on their page. It is the responsibility of the two swappers to arrange the deal and be satisfied with the arrangement before swapping. This group and its moderators are not responsible for making sure that a swap is completed. Each member is responsible to their swap partner. The fiber community is a very generous and giving place online and we hope everyone will continue in that vein. If there is a dispute, Tricia or Ruth will attempt to resolve the problem but we can’t take responsibility for all swaps made.

Tricia - Can you tell us what all 4 book titles are and give a little review of each? I might be interested and I can dye up either merino or mixed breed wool for you. Do you want an assortment of colors or a roving of just one color?
Hmmm... I probably would only want the Creating Texture with Textiles one. I do lots of rainbow dyeing but could do whatever you would like. The photos thing is the size. Do you have a program where you can edit the size of the photo? I shrunk this one down 70% to make it work.
Thanks Ruth
I will certainly give the photo thing a go.
Well, if you would like the Creating Texture with Textiles let me know. the only thing is I couldn't tell whether the work involved for you would be worth it. Let me know what you think it would be worth to you and then perhaps we can go on from there. This isn't as easy as it first seems is it? Still, I'm sure we will work it out, as my dear old Mum used to say: "Where there's a will, there's a way", Lol Thanks again Tricia
Hey Tricia - I decided against the book. It just seems a bit much to send if overseas for you. I guess if there was more to swap I would consider again.
That's Ok Ruth, I think I will try to get around to sorting out the details of that swap a little better as soon as I get time. Thanks for letting me know Tricia
Hi Ruth, I have been trying to organise things better for my swap but also to make it easier for others to follow suit. Try as I may I am still finding it difficult to navigate this site. Twice I have tried to put my new ad for the books under the swaps part, I have gone to the stash swaps and clicked on Start Discussion and it still comes up into the main part. I don't know why this is, but if we want things to come under seperate headings for different kinds of swaps it looks like it is the only way. Is this going to be ok like this, can you let me know. Thanks Tricia
Found it, thanks Ruth, I sure have a lot to learn, please can you tell me the best way to reduce the picture so that it will load properly. Also I wonder if other's will make the same mistakes as I have done. Oh well, time will tell. Shall I delete the other picture and stuff if I can figure out how? It's going to take me some time to get used to this. Thanks for your help Ruth. Cheers Tricia
This is more a if you have this tell me what you want in exchange kind of swap.
A friend gave me a bag of shop samples .. little ones minimum 1in by 1.5in and biggest about 3in square.
I am making a quilt out of these and would love some more so if you have some you would like to trade for single piece of fabric I will be your friend for life.
Cinzia
Hi Cinzia, you don't say whether these are patterned or plain that you are looking for. Also what kind of materials is it you need, thin cotton, thick upholstery type fabric, natural or man made. Is it new bits, samples like you have or would you consider secondhand fabric, like fabric cut from old clothes etc. I am asking as others may have what you are looking for but won't offer because they may feel it won't be good enough. Is patchwork fabric ok. It's always best to be as descriptive as possible, not to restrict but to allow others to consider what they have to see if it fits. Just trying to help Tricia.
Thanks Tricia,
I never thought about that. Sorry for late reply but I must have missed your letter before.
I am looking for patchwork fabric, cotton on ly please for this particular quilt.
Cinzia
Cinzia....If it's cotton quilting fabric type pieces that you want....I have a whole box of scraps that I would gladly give away if someone wants to pay the postage for them. I could cram as much as I can into a "one set fee" priority mailing box or something. Let me know.

Sherry
If Cinzia doesn't take you up on this offer, I might. That's pretty much all I use is scraps. Are there any batiks or hand dyed type fabrics in this?
