Hi,

 Has anyone ever bought from
http://stores.ebay.com.au/SILK-RIBBON-AND-MORE/ASSORTMENTS-/_i.html... ?

The description just says "silk ribbon".

If it's decent, it would be a brilliant way to build stash. Has anyone an opinion? (I hope it's ok to ask this question here)

They also offer "gypsy ribbon". Has anyone ever used this in SRE? Have any examples to show?

best,

Megan/Elmsley Rose

No worries :-)

http://www.treenwaysilks.com/ They have an online store and they are in  Lakewood Colorado. They have a large variety of silks and threads in different colours. I bought some white ribbons in different widths in bulk and do my own dying. The ribbons are of a very good quality.

Thanks, Elza.

Actually, I've given up SRE. I dabbled, and found that it wasn't to my tastes. Back to Elizabethan/Stuart/Tudor work and needlepainting :-)

Needle painting is also my favourite but I like to combine the two sometimes  :0

Di Van Niekirk's books! (needlepainting and SRE and stumpwork). I've kept those out of my SRE books - just too beautiful.

I know Di personally, she is a fantastic person and I own all her books. My profile photo is a combination of my ribbon and needle painting work.  :)

Oh! Just *lovely*

Di is just lovely - I feel very loyal to her although I only dabbled in SRE.

I too have never bought from these sites i always order my ribbons from nostalgia ribbons or from ann cox in the uk
