I'm always looking for books and resources on SRE. I was wondering if any of you would like to share your favorites?

I have most of the books by Judith Baker Montano. She shows the ribbon stitches as well as embroidery and how to combine different stitches together for wonderful pattern combos.

Here's the titles I have:

I really like the first two books above (Elegant stitches and Floral Stitches). The other two are good for ideas and more stitch examples.

Please share your favorites and why...I'm looking to expand my library.

Cheers!

:-)

Have you explored her YouTube  videos? There are LOTS! All step-by-step. I imagine they are casual versions of some of what's on the DVD. Also, there's a Stitches section on her site.

Hi Sherri,  I am new to the website and this group.  I would like to share a wonderful book I just bought.  It is a Judith Baker Montano book.  I am left handed so these embroidery stitches are always a battle for me to reverse them or do it right handed.  I just found a book that has directions for left and right handed people.  It is called "Embroidery & Crazy Quilt Stitch Tool".  I bought it on Amazon.  For those who are left handed, it is worth checking out.

I have this book, am also left-handed and found it a very fine comprehensive resource. Her book, Floral Stitches, is also excellent and I recommend it.

Thanks Cara, I will check it out.

Anything by Di Van Niekerk is awesome!
