Welcome. If you look at my personal photos on my page you will see 3 purple pieces. These are very simple coaster sized mats which I intended as beginner pieces. If any of these appeal to you, I could post one of the patterns (but I have to do a little work on it first).
Another possibility would be to make a bookmark with 2 or 3 pulled stitches. If you look again at my photos you will see 2 bookmarks. They are just a suggestion of how you might set it up.
First you will need evenweave fabric, NOT Hardanger and NOT Aida. It should be a single weave. I suggest, the coarser, the better. Plus thread in the same color as the fabric.
Do you have any books with pulled stitches in them for you to refer to?

Hello everyone! I'm new here and have never attempted pulled thread work but have always admired it. Does anyone have any simple, free patterns they could share with me so I can practice? Thank you so much, Lorie

Your blackwork picture 005 would also work as a pulled thread sampler (the layout and way of organizing the design, I mean). I'm constantly looking for ways to plan a design. Composition is everything.

Pam, thank you very much. I made the design for that small tablecloth, so I'm particularly proud of it ;-)
Is Cotton a Broder #25 hard to find? In Italy it's quite common and widely used for hand embroidery. What kind of thread do you usually use?

I have added two more Pulled Work designs to my photos including one worked entirely in metallic thread. This has to be done with care as the thread can so easily cut the material. Grace

Welcome to the group Stefania!! I love your Ricamo D'Assia design in the November Rakam magazine! Too bad the threads are not so easy to obtain here.

Hi everyone, I've just joined this group. I love pulled thread work, especially applied inside non-geometric designs.
I'm still having a look around, and trying to figure out how all the community works :-)
Please forgive me for all the mistakes I'm going to make in English!
Ciao, Stefania

Carol Anne I have just seen your photos on Flickr with that marvellous pulled thread work you have been doing. It is really beautiful. I love the Portuguese Stem Stitch outlines in silk also
