Comment by Angela Lucock on March 5, 2013 at 15:35 I am new to the Needlepoint group. I have done some needlepoint in the past. I have just received the new RSN Canvaswork book and I can't wait to get going again - the book is so inspiring
I have told you about what a struggle it is for me to stitch painted canvas. I am back at it! I think this is my last painted canvas. Boy it is killing me. I have made a big mistake with the choice of threads but now I have to live with it. I will post a picture soon and my progress.. ;-(
I am back stitching after a long Holiday with family coming and going. I hope to finish one project tomorrow. When I get it framed I will post it. It is a fun design and coming along nice.
I hope you all are getting to stitch as the cold winter weather is here for many. nice warm for others ;-)
Comment by Judith Jones on December 30, 2012 at 7:10 Good morning! I'm new the the Needlepoint Group. I'm a needlepointer, who recently returned to needlepointing after a long break. I've rediscovered some of my old canvases, which I'm in the process of finishing, and I'm experimenting with two new canvases, too. (For example, a plastic canvas stitch "sampler" as a magazine/book basket. It's handy and colorful!) I want to learn more about needlepointing - and I'm hoping I've come to the right place! Thanks for being here!
I'm new to this group. I have done some needlepoint and hope to do more when I've finished everything I'm working on at the moment. Some lovely photos of work done by your group. June
I finished one more now!! I am looking around the house to see if I have a frame I might beable to use. I will post pictures soon. I have 3 needlepoint pieces ready to frame now.
Do you have a hard time getting that part of it done? I know what I want just slow are doing it.
I have finished a painted canvas that I had been working on for over a year. Painted canvas are so hard for me! Now I plan to finish it as a stand up box peice.
Hope to finish another of my unfinished projects now! If I can stay home long enough. ;-)
Comment by Allison Bradbury on July 24, 2012 at 10:39 Hi, I'm a new member of Stitchin Fingers - I've completed a few canvas work pieces but want to get back to it again now I have some time on my hands.
Hi, I've only just joined Stitchin Fingers. I'm from North Staffordshire, in the English Peak District (originally I'm from Essex, east of London). I love doing all kinds of embroidery - needlepoint, surface, stumpwork, goldwork...I have a business designing and selling miniature needlepoint for doll's houses, so I'm not phased by tiny counts of silk gauze, too!
