I've had a bit of spare time on my hands lately so managed to get my doiley done.

It is just over 8 inches width and made with a soft and shiny viscose thread that has a white silk thread running through it (this doesn't show up very well in the photo). Colour is ecru (creamy beige).

The pattern is loosely based on shells with ch spaces. I think I started with about 30 st into the ring. I didn't keep track of the pattern as I made it up as I went.

And if you want to work out the stitches used ...... here is a detail photo.

Here is my doiley.  I went for an oval shape-its about 16" long and 10" wide.  Made it weeks ago but didnt upload it because I was hoping to make a similar one in red with beads instead of picot for Christmas.  Needless to say that one never made the hook...         This one is made with DK cotton on 3.5mm hook.

That is lovely Geraldine, I really like the colour of this one.

You sure made a fabulous job of it, well done.

Geraldine, your work is great and I think that you have done an amazing job!  I have never done an oval doiley, a square one, yes and a runner, yes!  Congratulations!
