Comment by emily brailsford on July 20, 2012 at 5:50 Hi Janet and Hi Mary, I used to have a boyfriend in Eccleshall! Maybe we should all meet up?
Hi Janet. I'm from Eccleshall, Staffordshire. Nice to see another Brit on here...welcome!
Hi, I've only just joined Stitchin Fingers. I'm from North Staffordshire, in the English Peak District (originally I'm from Essex, east of London). I love doing all kinds of embroidery - needlepoint, surface, stumpwork, goldwork...I have a business designing and selling miniature needlepoint for doll's houses, so I'm not phased by tiny counts of silk gauze, too!
Sorry Margot, I have never heard of the brand either but would love to know if it is colorfast myself in case I find it in my travels.
Comment by Margo on June 29, 2012 at 23:21 ND embroidery floss, made in Mexico, has anyone used it? Is it colorfast? I bought a large bunch of thread on ebay and there were quite a few skeins of this floss in it, it's very lovely and bright, but never heard of the brand. Any feedback would be most wonderful.
I was looking for lace among the Cleveland Museum of Art online photos, and came across something else that I thought you all might like to see. An Ogibwa embroidered bag dating from the 1880s.
1982.61 is the accession number
