This weekend I finished my "sumptuous pebble". This pebble was worked the other way around. First the most part of embroidery (years ago), than decide where the relief has to come, than finish the embroidery.
The difference in texture of the top fabric was another issue. With this pebble the trapped items where less visible. The wrinkles caused by these items were easy to handle due to the loose weave.

I have returned home and I am delighted to see this UFO Pebble! I love it! Great use of a piece that had so much time invested in it. The stitching seems to be just perfect for this!

Pat Winters has left a comment on my blog post about the pebbles. She will be doing a feature
on the pebbles for her Crazy Quilting Magazine. If you would like a photo of your pebble/pebbles included in the article, send her the jpeg photo along with your name and blog link.

Permalink Reply by Michele Crow on April 27, 2012 at 0:47 WOW! Those pebbles look really cool! I like the encrusted look, I think I will give it a try. I am new to embroidery so this will be a good way to try out new stitches.
