Who would have thought that the idea of a simple pebble would have bought out so much creativity, inspiration and beautiful stitching. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching the work come in and must add to being tempted to have a go myself.

Mandy,
Feel free to join in at any time! There is no time limit on this project. It really is an easy project to handle. You can make it as large or as small as you like! Let us know if you need any help and we look forward to seeing your pebble!

Permalink Reply by Mosaic Magpie on March 27, 2012 at 20:36 I will have to go and look at this.....I can't decide is this a good idea or cheating!?!?! LOL, I say if you can turn a UFO into a finished project, then it is a GREAT idea!

Now that I am retired my mind is thinking all of the time about creating. I know all you very creative people maybe able to help me with my questions.
I saw some very lovely beads on etsy called Tyvek Textile Beads. I had to have them. They should be here in the next day or two. BUT My questions is where do you buy this stuff they call, "TYVEK"??? Has anyone used it?? And does anyone know where to buy it. Thanks hugs judy

Tyvek is a non woven product, I have used paper Tyvek and fabric Tyvek. You can paint it, hand and machine sew it and especially heat it. It makes raised bubbles, holes...It is very useful in mixmedia. Beads are very easy to do by wrapping Tyvek around a wooden stick and heat. As I don't write english very well , I can't explain clearly but Gwen Hedley wrote a very interesting book " Surfaces for Stitch" where she explains all what you can do with Tyvek.Hope this can help you .Severine
