It is a free project from "Stitch" from some years ago, you can find it here: http://www.embroiderersguild.com/stitch/projects/encrustingcalico/i...
We, Deb and Marjolein, have admired that project ever since. Now we have decided to rush into this "Pebble Adventure".

And now we need a new storage container for " really useful flotsam, jetsam, driftwood, shells, cogs and other junk for PEBBLES"  :)

Mum (90) is still doing tapestries and will finish some other embroideries when she has time! I thought she may enjoy 'helping' with a Pebble, as there is complete freedom and she won't feel restricted/frustrated by fingers that don't always do as they are told. I will line up pre-threaded needles in a range of threads and see what happens. She wants me to record her life, so I have to keep her chatting while I take notes. Hopefully her Life Pebble will keep the stories flowing.

Rose,

That is a great idea to get your mom to add a little stitching to a pebble!  I was digging through some buttons tonight and found some cogs and wheels from something...You know my first thought....THESE WOULD BE GREAT ON A PEBBLE!!!

Rose,

Of all the reasons, we have created these fun pebbles, this seems the best of all!   I hope her fingers do exactly what she tells them to do and her words flow easily.

Deb

That would be a treasured pebble for sure, Rose!

The stitch of this week has been chosen for us. Sharon even mentions us "pebbles makers" in her blog post.

By chance I stiched I small whipped wheel this weekend. I am thinking of doing another whipped shape.

Hello Oma,  What a lovely idea to have your Mum stitch while talking with your about her life.  The pebble will be real treasure indeed. Hugs Judy

Those baubles would look great on a pebble. Nice as contrast as they look very soft.

Thank you Deb.  I loved making those babbles.  VBG  I plan to make lots more.  I think partially wet felting would give your creation lots of dimension.  Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your wonderful comment.  Hugs Judy

I am working on my pebble. Thank you all that helped me.

Oh my, you are doing so many neat things with this!  I love the differnt textures....that little grouping above the whipped wheel is great!

Deb

Beautiful!
