It is a free project from "Stitch" from some years ago, you can find it here: http://www.embroiderersguild.com/stitch/projects/encrustingcalico/i...
We, Deb and Marjolein, have admired that project ever since. Now we have decided to rush into this "Pebble Adventure".

I think you are right about the wrinkles. On the right side of the picture at the top are wrinkles. It looks as if they are hidden by embroidery.

Broaches, or pendants?

I thought of broaches, but pendants would be nice, too :)

Thank you thank you.  I have bookmarked that so I have all the lessons in stitches I need.  Wonderful.

Do you know, Donna, that you can find every possible stitch in SharonB's stitch dictionary:
http://inaminuteago.com/stitchindex.html. It is absolutely the unique and wonderful source of stitches.

Beautiful work ladies.  I am still collecting and will get my fabric in order today.  I also need to address the thread.  I have some embroidery floss and some thicker thread, however it is all over the place so must round it all up and see what i have.  Am taking note of the stitches everyone is using and will try to find directions on the ones i have never done and see if I an do them.  Will report back when I have started.

Think I will give it a go.  It is so beautiful!

All so beautifully made Deb.

All the examples posted are gorgeous, and unique! Wonderful work.

I'm wondering how big your pebbles are: mine will be 5 3/4 inches.

I'll upload an updated pic soon. I am really enjoying this, and already have started a pile of goodies and bits for my next pebble!

Hello Everyone,

All the photos are truly beautiful and inspiring.  All of them are wee pieces of art.

I have finally started on my Pebble Adventures.  I am not sure how to add photos but I will try. vbg  If they do not go through you can find the photos on my blog which I just posted about the Pebble Adventure.  Scroll toward the end of the present posting.   http://cjstitchingandblooms.blogspot.com/

That is beautiful Deb.  It is so perfect with no wrinkles.  What do you have under it.  Looks like a rock.  Very nice.  I am having some difficulty with thread.  I have embroidery thread and some perle but not in the right colors for perle.  Looks like some of the threads are fairly thick.
