I haven't done any hardanger in a long time but getting back to it is definitely on my "want to do" list. If you check out my gallery there are two pieces there- the ones I entered in a LONG ago Caron contest- that have small hardanger motifs in them. That was so TOTALLY the style at that time- include a little hardanger in a specialty stitch piece.

Amyway, I'm glad to be here and am enjoying looking through the various galleries.

Nice work Barbara, I particularly like the bell pull.

I have just added four more pictures to my Hardanger album. I am also working on a piece (for quite a while actually) that is more than three quarters finished and have now put it on my table as a reminder to work on it.

Nordic Needle current newsletter - forgot to add the link.
Scroll down quite a bit to bookmark news - just before a recipe.

Anyone participating in the 2009 Bookmark Challenge?
I was reading the Nordic Needle newsletter yesterday and way at the bottom was this:
"We're gathering up bookmarks through May 7th to distribute to area libraries and reading programs. Through all your donations last year, Nordic Needle was the largest contributor to the National event. You can send in your bookmarks now through May 7th. We've gotten a few so far, some as far away as France. Remember, for every bookmark you donate your name is entered in a drawing for a $100 Nordic Needle gift certificate!"

(I didn't even notice the drawing until just now...added incentive?)
I'm winging it with another design-as-I-go attempt.

Does anyone have a kid friendly charted design for a bookmark they're willing to share? We could do a Hardanger Bookmark-a-long but time is short - May 7th delivered deadline.

Some states have needle shop locations where they can be dropped off...none here where I am though.

Hi Barbara
I had a look at your pictures. They are wonderful. You did a lot of bobbin lace.
Have you stitched also some Hardanger pieces ?

I started Hardanger back in 1988 and I just love it. My photo is that of bobbin lace, but I will set up some pictures of some of my pieces soon.

Congratulation Laurie,
that is always like a thriller and a great relief when it went well.
