Barbara asked me for a speciell photo album in the group.
I think that is a good idea.
If you want you can post your photos of finished Hardanger in this folder or set a link to your album.

I will start with my "Portal to Paradise" and yes, it's Hardanger, only Hardanger.:

Very pretty. I don't think it's to bad once you get going at it...!

I finished my bookmark. First time ever cutting away the excess!! Whew :)

Thanks very much Lorelei. Every one seems to like this one, so I think I should now make one for myself!

I really like the design of the middle piece. Is it yours? Or where did it come from? The edge in particular intrigues me. It looks like sating stitch motifs with narrow buttonhole on the outside. Is that right? I saw a similar edge on a free patterns I downloaded from Nordic Needle, but I've been unsure if it is secure enough. But all your pieces are lovely.
Lorelei. I did a small lavender bag heart using this type of edging about ten years ago and it is remarkably firm and sturdy. It was worked in No.8 Perle cotton. I will try to enclose a photo of it.

wow Grace
wonderful, it's very pretty.

Hi Laurie

You did great work.

Isn't it funny to cut the threads. I think it's always like a crime.

And you can be proud of it.

Grace
thanks for the photo. That shows me clearly what you did. Now I can duplicate it.

Hi everybody. Was reading through this forum the other day and saw all the comments on Edelweiss stitch. Thought I would add one of my own designs with that stitch in it. It is a lovely stitch, and I really enjoy doing it. I found my instructions for this stitch in Janice Love's Hardanger Fundamentals Made Fancy She has great, easy to follow instructions.

All the pictures in this forum are wonderful, and I had a great time browsing through them. Thank you all for sharing.

Hi Cindy
Congratulation to this wonderful work and thank you for sharing with us.
It's so exciting to see all your posts and enjoy all the fotos of the stitched pieces.

I wish I could invite you to my exhibition in August here in Switzerland, in Interlaken, to talk with you about Hardanger and to meet you all personaly.

But it's only a dream. So I enjoy reading your posts.

With love

Vera
Hi Vera,

Wish we could all come to your exhibition, that would be so much fun! And Switzerland is so beautiful too. But since that isn't possible, take lots of pictures to share with us here. We would love to see them.

Hugs and stitches,

Cindy

I'm such a fool. I have everything packed for my show, including tape, hangers, pictures, and exhibition catalogs. Only one I have forgotten. My camera.

Maybe we go to the next time again to Interlaken. Then I take it with guarantees.

So here just a taste.

In the opening 50 visitors and the interest in the pictures were very large. We know this technology is not really here in Switzerland. Unfortunately, the newspaper article is written in German, so I do not imagine it on.
Have a nice day

Vera

I do not know why the picture is unfortunately across.

Very interesting shapes, Vera. I like the color variations, too.

Here is my most recent piece.  I decided to try diagonal lines in the design instead of the more usual symmetrical design.  All the elements are normal Hardanger, but the layout is a little unusual.
