I'm thinking of making a fiber book as an embroidery sampler. I saw the Take It Further fiber book on the Million Little Stitches blog and I'm feeling inspired.

I want to create a 5.8 × 8.3" (A5) book with a felt cover. I want to bind each page in individually as I complete the embroidery. What binding techniques could I use? And how are they done?

Hello Mauve Dragon,
I'm glad The Take it Further Fiber Book has inspired you to create one of your own.
I'm planning on doing a sort of tutorial of the method I employ to make my fiber book in a day or two.
So check Million Little Stitches by this weekend.

One of the nice things about making a fiber book is that there are so many options for binding. Just about anything that holds the pages together is good! If you know how many pages you will be putting in, then you can use a running stitch or ladder stitch to add each one to the cover's spine area. Another option would be to use coptic binding method and add a wrap around cover last. (There's a nice video on coptic binding here.)

Please keep in mind that these are just a couple of the ways I would suggest. I don't think there is a wrong answer to this one!
What is the whole address for that blog? Dreaming Quilts : ) Carmen
