Ive both wet felted, embellished and fulled woollies so am not new to the craft but only just sussed how to join this inner group ~ so obv not that clever at all !!

It was nice yesterday to see several roving pictures at the knitting & stitching show for once where it hadnt been fully felted in, but had been used creatively as a picture in its own right.

Am going to put pics on my blog with names etc later today. One lady had captured dartmoor fabulously and her dark water fall was just wonderful. Did wonder if Id done it if I might have given it a final wet felt to seal off the embellishing holes from view. There werent many showing but for my pieces I find it irritating, but her work was super even with an odd hole here n there.

Hi Lyn,

I to try to avoid the holes from needle felting. But I'm much more into wet felting myself.
I was too Ruth. But I seem to be moving towards using the wool as a fabric by laying it down now, with stitches and voiles laid over and either embellished or stitched over.
There were some dartmoor pics at K&S, had to put them on my blog, theyd been put tog in this way with some embellishing, added bits of fabrics etc and I suspect areas maybe of wet felting too, but not the whole pieces.
The waterfall and heathland ones were divine, cant recall the ladys name but its on my blog if get chance to browse it.
