Okay - now that a few of you are interested can anyone tell me how to form a swap group -or a list? I can't figure out how this website/groupo works. Can anyone start a swap? Does it have to be someone official? I can't even find a way to get email addr. from those of you who replied.
I leave for New England (to see fall foliage and work at a camp for cancer kids) and will be gone Oct. 2-14 - so I'd love to set up this group b4 I leave - if someone can tell me how - very soon! If not, how about each of you that says she is interested just start making 8-10 fall cards and when I get back we can figure out how to get eachothers address??? Thanks
Barbara
Hi Barbara,
Everybody can send you a private message with their addys if you are friends with them all. Or, if you want to list your email address in a message here we can all send our addys to you via email.
If this is a list where we are sending everyone in the group an FPC then you could compile a list of the full names and home addresses then email that list to everyone in the group.
If we are sending everyone in the group an FPC then please limit it to 8 or 10 members. That is a lot of FPCs for me to make at one time.
I should add I have never hosted a swap before so you are welcome to pitch my suggestions. However, I have participated in several and this seems like the way they are generally done.
Good luck and let us know what we can do to help. I'm sure we can get this sorted in a day or two, before you head off on your trip.
Alternatively....when you make up the list 1 sends to 2, 2 to 3 and so on... then the last person on the list sends to 1. The participants can then contact each other via this website for address details. :-)
8 to 10 post cards per person in one month is a big ask! A normal one to one exchange would be better, but if anyone wants to do that many, go for it!
Barbara, to find someone's email address, go to their Profile page by clicking on their photo that appears with their messages. Leave a comment on the 'comment wall' with your own email address, asking them to contact you.
