Hi Shazzy, you beautiful card arrived late last week, thank you. I haven't been able to write before because my internet is having a mood swing and is deciding when it will work. I'm going to try and post a photo while I've got a connection but if it doesn't appear, I'll try again when the internet is fixed. I love the colours....I really needed a "winter fix" and the card provided it. I miss the seasons up here, not that I want the freezing, bone chilling winds, but I do like to get out of shorts into jeans and scarves......I didn't realise until I read the back that the letter "T" is all over the card.....what a clever girl you are and a great concept. At first, I thought it was ploughed paddocks and I thought it might have your farm, then after I read the back, I saw what I hadn't seen before. Did you dye the wool & threads? Enough rambling, now for the photo attempt......cheers xx...... no luck with the photo, will try again later....

glad it finally got there....I'm so tired and busy

I hope I can get some more done soon

Yes all threads etc I dyed here with leaves and bits of metal....I love the colours too

glad you like the T theme ....how many are there.....after I did the edge I realised it is ALL T's too....

so nice to hear from you.....sharon

Alguém tem notícias de Sharon? Estou sentindo sua ausência, Espero que esteja bem. Abraços a todos, Algecira

Hi Everyone & Algecira, I'm going to attempt to post Sharon's birthday card to me. I'm at my daughters house, so fingers crossed for the internet connection......Yay, success......can everyone see the "T's" all over the front. on the back, Sharon wrote what "T" stands for terrific, tolerant, and other nice things !!. I don't have the card with me at the moment, but believe me they were all nice things......isn't she clever......thanks Shazz

Ah Teresa, it's really nice.  I love Sharon's wonderfully organic cards.  How clever of her to notice all those true T things aout you, you must've felt really special receiving it.

Algecira, I think Sharon is just really busy, she runs a farm with her husband, as well as being a mum and doing all sorts of other things....having a life maybe :).......they have cattle, maybe because it's winter they have to be hand fed?  I'm sure she's ok.  Sharon, if you're listening, do you need another "Winter Sun" to boost your spirits again?

Thank you Algecira.....it's great you're on Stitchin' Fingers too.....It's wonderful to be able to talk to you even if it's on a computer........love & blessings Teresa xx

HI everyone, it's sassy Sunday here in Brisbane & the weather is slightly overcast, but a good day for staying inside and stitching. I'm doing Sharon's "Sumptuous Surface Embroidery" online class and I'm way behind, but today I plan to catch up a little bit. My baby blanket is coming along nicely, but I didn't know there is a right and wrong side to wool blanketing and did quite a lot of embroidery before I discovered this, so I had to pull it all out and start again!!! But I was very glad I noticed it before I had finished completely..........

We've been staying at my daughter's house for the last couple days.....she is putting in a vegetable garden and her father is helping her.....should I say her father is putting in the garden & she is supervising !!! and there's some general work to do in the yard.

So that's my contribution to sassy Sunday........c'mon girlies, what's happening in your part of the world....cheers

A Soaking Soggy Sunday south of the border Teresa, so like you, I've been staying indoors knitting and stitching, tryng to finish a baby quilt, that when I sewed the rows together, some blocks were out of line.  I unpicked two rows, re-measured it all, evened bits up and sewed together again...seems to be ok this time.  Amazing how the tiniest fraction out throws the whole thing off.  Finished knitting a beanie and cast on another.....I have a (personal) goal of 22 to give to the local Indigenous playgroup for each of the kids for NAIDOC Week.....6 down!  I planted vegetables Friday, so the rain's been very welcome to settle them in. Where does your daughter live?

Whose next with news of the day?

It's lovely to have you as a friend too, Algecira, even if it's "virtual".....would love to hear about what you've been up to in your little corner of the world......xx

Your day sounds wonderful Algecira, sunshine, a garden and good company to share it with....what could be better?  It rains still here, that means another day I can stay in and knit and sew and not have to decide....garden or home?  Have a wonderful week. x
