2011 Birthday Swap

This Birthday Swap for 2010 to 2011 is now closed

The 1st of several cards should be arriving at Anne & Marja's

We need to discuss a start Date we could go October 2010 to September 2011
or November 2010 to October 2011
does everyone understand how it works ??
You would need to send a postcard to each person who joins the swap.
I would put a list of participants on this discussion and their birth date and it is up to each person to contact and send a card as close to the birthday as possible.

Sharon this is a lovely idea and I'll join in. I've only just started making postcards and am addicted, this will be a great excuse to keep stitching. I'll either be at the beginning or the end because my birthday is October 3rd :)
Once you have this organised, do we all just send our address to everyone on the list?

Anne, we don't put addresses on this forum... It is better to contact the person here or send a message to their mypage and ask for an email address , You can then exchange your snail mail address.
I think the easiest way to run the swap is to Just have a list of Names and Birthdates and you can contact people for a snail mail address. that way no one person is in control & we all have a little more contact with each other....
I keep a folder that I record who I owe a card to when I join a swap...and I keep addresses of people I've swapped with.....Often I've sent to them again...

Jan Post your birth Day and Month on this forum and then just keep an eye on this discussion...
I hope to start the swap with October if everyone is happy with that
Marja and Anne are both early in October so the pressure is on.

If people can put up their email contact the month before their birthday, then we can contact them for a snail mail address... If you have any problems contact me cheers Sharon

and we start With Anne in October..... Please stick to this pledge to make people a card. It can be disheartening when you spend all year making cards for others and only a couple turn up Next august....
