Hi Marja.........no, still no card from you.  I hope it's not lost......so many vehicles and businesses were completely under water in Brisbane, which is the mail centre my mail comes through, that it's possible mail bags could've been completely lost.  I haven't been worried, I just trust your card will turn up sooner or later.  A good idea to wait another week, it might come........thankyou for your care.

 

I haven't heard from Maria either and sent my card to her quite a few weeks ago as well.

Hi Marja .....I think maybe your card has gone missing, maybe swept away in the big floods we had here recently.  The capital city, Brisbane, where mail to me comes and goes from, was really inundated.  A number of things I sent o's around that time haven't arrived.  speaking to Australia Post, they say much was lost, sunk under water and mud, or trucks washed away.

I'm sorry you'll have to make another, please don't rush.

To Anne and Mary Lou .....thankyou for your birthday cards which came this week. They're both so different, but both so lovely.  Mary Lou sent some of her beautiful hand embroidered flowers, and Anne a yummy looking bright birthday cake.  Thankyou both.  I'll post some pictures shortly.

Hi Ladies, I thought now we are over half way... we could have an honest tally up

these birthday swaps have caused a little pain at times.

please check this list and make sure you have sent to everyone....IT IS NEVER too late to send...

then put up a post saying you have sent them all, people can check and If a card hasn't arrived from one of us, perhaps it is lost , If we know it can be replaced...

I know Nanette had some issues with floods washing mail trucks away, just an awful time for lots of Aussies and New Zealanders.

good news, I have had a reply from Jan, she is OK, she forgot she had joined and has been out of the loop for a long while....

I will let you know if she intends catching up

Rhonda Panas has also contacted me and she is keen to complete this swap... 3 weeks until her retirement so she will be busy

I apologize for not participating with the beginning birthday, Anne's in October, than Marja, followed by  MaryLou, Maria in December, and  Nanette in January....Please, do send me your addresses and I WILL respond with a lovely fabric postcard.  I also will continue to monitor and participate in this Group.  I have been creating fabric greetings for a few years and so enjoy this expressive art.
