Hello!
I's so happy to have found this group! I'm from the USA, Iowa specifically, and live in Berlin, Germany. The internet is my connection to other embroiderers and I miss having a group to talk to, share projects with and learn from.

Hello European embroiderers! My mother is going to Spain next week, and I wondered if any of you might know of good places for her to visit. She mostly does surface embroidery, and is also into lace (especially bobbin lace). :-)

Hello, I live in the Netherlands and am hooked on needle painting and needlepoint. I have quilted..by hand. Sewing machines and I just don't get on very well.

Hi
I,m Catherine, born in Yorkshire and now living in North Wales, having got here via Birmingham, London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgshire.
An ex civil servant and market researcher, I now run a small mail order supplies "shop" and teach 2 classes of mature ladies(!) each week.
I prefer various types of counted thread but after doing Sharon's Sumptuous surface classes about 18 months ago, and taking Tast now, I got hooked on crewel work last year year and did 3 pieces in single strand silk and I loved it
