I wonder who would be interested in a different sort of Round robin ?
This would be where the participants make an ornament for each of the other people in the swap.
The ornaments don't have to be traditional Christmas as some of us may celebrate other festivals in Winter e.g. Hannukkah , loy-kruh-thong (Thailand),Diwali , winter solstice. the person receiving just needs to say what they would prefer - if they have a particular colour scheme , then they need to say that as well. Next , each person would get a list - we could work with up to 6 people - each list starts with a different person and you would have to commit to send at least one ornament a month to the next person on your list so If we start in September , each person would have at least 4 ornaments by Decembers end - if we start October , each person would have 3. If people are faster stitchers then thats okay or if you have more time and are able to get ahead then thats okay too but there is no pressure on this - March is still considered winter here in the UK !!!
Would anybody be interested in doing this ?

I'm sorry. I just took a look at what I have coming up, and I just won't have time to do this. Perhaps the next one.

Aww Amber, I am sorry to hear this! I was so looking forward to adding some more of your stitching to my collection! But I understand how it is with you - I've been in that position in the past where I've got a lot of commitments and had to prioritise them. :-o

Yeah, I was really looking forward to this one. But this is the busiest time of year for me. I get lots of orders for clothing as Christmas gifts, and I need to make all the money I can when the season in on. I also have a couple of classes to finish, one of which will run into next year. Hopefully, one of these will come around in the spring or even right after Christmas. It might be neat to have an ornie a month from everyone.

You can bet your bottom dollar there will be more exchanges in our Group next year, Amber! I'm so glad I started this Group for Cross Stitchers - even though most members don't actually participate, the people that do are such a terrific bunch of ladies, as well as being excellent stitchers! I hope that the members who don't take part in the swaps still enjoy seeing what we get up to. I always like to see what everyone else is stitching, regardless of whether it is part of a group activity of not.

When there is another swap, please count me in! I'm new to the group and love to stitch...and ornaments are just the right size for swapping. Can't wait!

Hi Jan, how are you? I hope your eyes are improving now, so you are able to stitch in comfort. Do you have an agenda ready for this ornament swap?

Sorry Gina - eyes have been a pain - hope to stitch again this weekend - will sort ornament list and send out Sunday at latest . Eyes have to be better for next week - I've got a job interview and I certainly don't want to have to wear a patch !!!
