Possible ideas:
- commit to a certain time span (1 hour) of working on the UFO each week
- work on the UFO every Tuesday (or other weekday)
- swap small UFOs and finish them either for keeping or for gifting back (Blue Bell Baby's idea)
- ?
I am embarrassed to admit that I haven't followed this discussion for months. As the administrator for the Cross Stitchin Fingers Group, I should be keeping my eye on all the discussions, and what our members are doing...rap on knuckles!
I have got so involved with the other projects here, that I just haven't had time to even look at any of my UFOs, and I suspect that many of our members are in a similar position. Still, this comment will bring the discussion to the top for a while, so if any of you are working on or have finished one of your UFOs such as Kirsten did at the end of March, do post a comment so we can see how you are going!

Hi Everyone
I've just joined the group and I feel inspired by the UFO Challenge to get a few of mine finished off. Will let you know when I get started and what I'm working on.
HI! I am working my way through all the threads here slowly and finding out what everyone is doing. This thread is certainly for me- I am a UFO Queen!
One of my oldest UFOs is Lavendar & Lace Marilyn Leavitt-Inblum's Angel of Mercy. I recently found a SAL for this piece so I will be making some progress I hope. I cannot commit to posting every week. I am currently stitching on three SALs each of which update once a month, so I will post when I have something new on AOM.
I will challenge you on the title of UFO Queen, LadyD! I have been buying up old unfinished vintage linens from eBay, thrift shops, and garage sales for years, and have a cupboard full of them. I know darn well I'll never stitch most of them, but gee it's fun to look at them every so often....
I'm sure you will make some headway on your Angel of Mercy now that you've thought about it. I had a large XS of an American Indian Chief that I started with great enthusiasm, but lost interest over the years because it was taking so long. When I joined an online stitching group about 8 years ago, they had a UFO challenge like this one, and that was what inspired me to finish my Indian. It still took another 3 years, but at least I was motivated to get it out and work on it again!
A cupboard? I`ll see your cupboard and raise you a room! (Oh Oh - watching too much poker on tv I think). I would love to jump in if it`s not too late and start working on a UFO or two! Where is the album for pictures?
Hugs,
Kerry
LOL!!! Cross Stitchin Fingers has its own album on Flickr. If you click on the link provided on the 'front page' of our Group, it will take you there. To post your own photos, you have to join Flickr if you aren't already a member, then apply post your photos on our group site. Once you've done that, I get an email from Flickr to enable you to go ahead and post photos there.
I always thought of SAL as meaning stitch a long. So many people are using it in ways that don't work with my meaning. Can you, please, tell me what SAL stands for?
Amber
I thought it means Stitch ALong too, Amber. From what I've seen on other groups, everyone works on the same design, and reports on their progress regularly, as a kind of encouragement to keep each other motivated. Can anyone else here add to that?
