Hi Mips, I'm so pleased you responded to my invitation to introduce yourself! I love to read even small bits about our members here, and what they are working on. I think just about everyone reading this will relate to your embarrassment about having so many WIPS or UFOs. I've got a cupboard full, which I know will never be completed, but am I still buying new patterns? Oh yes....

I am thrilled to find a stitching board. Thanks for the welcome. There's not much to say in the profile. I live in New England and have so many WIPS that I am embarrassed but can't stop starting new ones. My fixation of the day, today, are 2 more bands of an online class from Essamplaire.

Welcome to Mips - our newest member in the USA. She has just joined, but I can't tell you anything else because she has her profile set to Private. If you are reading this Mips, come on over and introduce yourself!

I love Stef Francis' threads. I bought some experimental packs from her about 10 years ago now. Her silks are delightful. One of these days I will treat myself to one of her kits

Welcome Elizabeth!

I was so thrilled at the weekend to find a sewing shop that I didn't know existed in the next town to me. It mainly does quilting stuff and sewing machines, but I did find that it had a wonderful array of hand dyed threads, embellishing materials and ribbons, from a lady who actually lives about 2 miles from me whom I never knew existed. Has anyone in the Group heard of Stef Francis threads etc. The threads are amazing, and include pure silks, and linen thread, together with texured thread.
I discovered too that she has her own website, and that it is so much cheaper to buy from her direct than buying from the sewing shop. I just cannot believe her prices.

Welcome Elizabeth!

I'm starting a new design today :)
Its the Castles in the Air stitch a long with Papillon Creations. So amazing she makes this beautiful chart available for only $2

Its a mystery but the frist 3 parts are up and she shows pictures in the gallery of everyone who sends theirs in. You get to choose your colors and she lists the colors people are using so you can decide which one you like the best.

Here's the link for the gallery. I've spent hours there. lol

Oh, and she makes available 2 choices, one with basic cross stitch and a few very simple fancy stitches and then another that has quite a few harder stitches (like the spider web one). since they are only $2 I bought them both.

Hello back to you, Narita! I am in awe of anyone who works on Chatelaine Designs, with all the bells and whistles...I'm just a plain ole cross stitcher!
On a different tack, we have another new member to welcome - hi to Elizabeth K.in the U.S.A.!

Hi there Ladies (and Gentlemen, too if there are any of you out there!)

I'm so happy to have found this place. I usually am on the yahoogroups and the yuku boards, so this is new to me. :)

I've been enjoying cross stitch for years now. My favorite designer is Martina Weber of Chatelaine Designs because of the detail with beads, crystals and fancy stitches she incorporates into her designs.

Well, I just wanted to say hello. HELLO!! :)

Carin is our newest member - she is our third member in the Netherlands, and I've already checked her blog to find she does some great stitching!
