I am a researcher, if I may call me. I enjoy telling stories about the crafts. on my blog (http://saladecostura.blogspot.com) tell stories of quilt. Now I am gathering material to tell about embroidery. So who want to help me, I am trying to find the story about the spider web that always appears in embroidered free. Those who know can tell me?

Quem souber pode me contar?

I just completed Sharon's Encrusted Crazy Quilt class on Joggles. This will be a great place to keep in touch with the other students.

Are you all ready for the auction???

I'm so excited about the Alliance for American Quilts organization and the work they do recording oral quilt history. Many of you may have already given your history. But for those who haven't there's info at Subversive Stitchers on how to get involved in this project. www.subversivestitch.blogspot.

The AAQ executive director guest blogs and encourages involvement in the Crazy Quilt auction that begins MONDAY OCT 26!!! If nothing else you can see a beautiful array of this type of quilt. But even better -- buy one to hang on your wall to add beauty and inspiration to your workspace. And get a sense of satisfaction that you support a worthwhile quilting organization that keeps our legacy alive! OK, stepping down from the soap box. :)
