I have always maintained that "a picture is worth a thousand words"...it is way easier to show someone what you are talking about than to try describing it.

If you have pics of special things you've created...I'm sure we'd all love to see!

Some of you may have seen these pins...as I made them 3 years ago...as Christmas gifts for all the gals in my family. The pic shows several in various stages (and colours). Took several hours to make each one...but they all loved them...and now wear them every year!

These are neat. You can put me on your Christmas list. LOL Dreaming Quilts : ) Carmen

This is a beaded pin I made on a crocheted base with suede backing.
I really enjoy beading and am thinking of using some lace as a base for a collar. I will dye the lace first and then bead it.
So beautiful, very nice work :)
I made some bellydance costums few years ago. I think it´searier to see on my flickr.

I have just added to my album this picture of a beaded project that I have just completed .

Hi Ann. The edges are flat against the fabric, but the large trianges just inside are padded, the centre is also raised. I have written about the different techniques I used on my blog.

I have also written about the technique I am using on my current beading project. I hope these give you some ideas for your own motifs. Your tree is lovely and the 'puffy' look is spot on.
Not much activity in this thread, is that because beading takes so long :-)

I've finished the beading on my Phase II Japan bead embroidery, Calm Flow.

It has taken me 4 months and I beaded pretty much every day on it, although only for a short time most days. I was sheer joy to do. The design by Reiko Matsukawa is very elegant with only two colours of bead, black and pewter, and two techniques, couched lines and random stitched.

It will be made up into a folio but I want to show it to my tutor before I do the finishing.
Hello there,
This is a little textile pendant I have just finished

Very nice, I like the different textures you have created.
I am currently working on a little plum. No reason - just for relaxation.
