Julia, healing thoughts coming your way.  Good luck with the Crochet,  I love your Bargello Ball!  The colors are lovely and work so well together.

At a recent Craft Fair, a gentleman had the most beautiful Bargello work, of course I had to go and have a talk with him and look at the work.  Turns out he doesn't sleep very well and doesn't watch T.V. so he designs and makes wall hangings, tablecloths, table runners and doileys.  I have to phone him today to ask whether he has found this site as I am sure you will be as delighted as I was to see his work. Maybe he needs a Nudge like the rest of us sometimes!!

I added picture of the Bargello Ball to my page.  I just do not know how to manage here.  I may be able to add the picture again.

Hope you're better, Fiona.   I've also had to go back to the good old crochet hook and yarn and put aside my bargello piece (again!).   I fell over - it happens with us old ones - and landed on my right shoulder with the right arm twisted underneath my body.  Result: one useless right arm.  Wouldn't move at all   With an MRI scan,  cortisone injections into the shoulder joint and physiotherapy, I've now got the use of my right hand back ad limited movement in the elbow - but would you believe that stitching uses tendons and muscles I never knew I had?   My doctor keeps warning me  not to push the limits -  if it hurts, don't do it...  give it time to heal etc.   I'm a member of a local handcraft group and a friend there suggested that I try crochet.  It works! I can do it without pain!  So I dug out an old crochet pattern book from the 70s and got going on a six-foot diameter circular tablecloth.  Is that an indicator of dementia or not? But I'd rather be stitching.  Much rather.   I'll be back, but it could take another month or so.

Thank for encouraging me to keep on with this bargello.

the threads are Fyre Werks in the large stacked gems and all around them with neon Rays in small sets. The rest is done with Splendor (which I love to use) and the veregated is Gloriana hand-dyed.

The name of the pattern is "Mountains and Hills"  don't try it.;-)    I will keep going and let you know how it ends up.  Thanks friends!

Whoops! didn't mean to click send.  I'm a tech ignoramus.  It's certainly a complex pattern.  Don't know why you're oncerned about the pinks - the whole combination is the thing and the pink is lovely.
