Comment by IRIS LINS on January 30, 2013 at 15:28 Elaine, just a comment and the url of your blog or another album you have.
Comment by Elaine Wilding on January 30, 2013 at 15:00 Sharon I am not sure how to add my tast to pintangle. Do I leave a picture or just a comment and the url not sure.
Comment by Gail on January 30, 2013 at 14:02 Sharon, I agree. I have already changed the wording in all the posts to direct stitchers to post on Pintangle first to post their stitching links :)
Hi Gail my biggest concern is that new folks will get muddled or worse feel left out - and not leave a comment on Pintangle. If this happens they will miss out on a lot of experienced stitchers swinging by and seeing what they have done - they also miss out on tips encouragement and advice that the community can offer.
Obviously if you remind them to visit Pintangle it's OK and no one will feel isolated
Comment by Gail on January 29, 2013 at 23:09 Oh, please understand that everything on my TAST Rerun site links directly to the original PinTangle posts. I needed a place to upload my work and link to, and a way to keep myself organized. That's why I started the blog.
Right away, a few others said yes, they could use a way to bookmark their progress on the list, too, and that's all I intend it for -- a way to bookmark progress, and to share with others who are working on the same stitch that I myself am.
The only extra bit I do is to list the stitch variations without the ones we will end up working later, when they are the featured stitch of the week.
I *LOVE* TAST and think that the order of stitches last year was awesome -- that's another reaosn why I want to work through them in order. So I'll definitely be guiding my co-rerunners to put their links up at the appropriate place on Pintangle, now that I understand where that is.
I'm GLAD to not feel left out or separated... it has just taken an especially long time for the details of this year's approach to sink in. Sorry!
Comment by OwlBe on January 29, 2013 at 19:27 Please excuse me all, but I must say... from my point of view I don't see why it's needed to replicate the same info twice. Sharon has all of this information on her original TAST site. To save confusion all you need to do is go to the original posting, find the stitch week you want, and go from there. You can re-run it to suit where you need/want it to be. Why divide and complicate - It's Sharon's knowledge/sharing that makes any of this possible - go to the main source.
Gail and anyone doing the re-run if you do dont forget to swing by Pintangle and leave a comment so readers can visit as people dont have to feel left out or separate - it fits in with years TAST guidelines too see the FAQ http://pintangle.com/tast-faq/
Comment by IRIS LINS on January 29, 2013 at 4:26 Gail, very interesting idea Re-run 2012!
Comment by Gail on January 28, 2013 at 15:12 Carol, you may be interested in the TAST 2012 Re-run I am doing! I am not sure from your comment if you previously worked through the TAST 2012 stitches and want to continue, or start at the beginning.
We are working through the 2012 list in order. I have things set up with a weekly recap post, so even if you are working a past "stitch of the week," the link to your sample will be brought to everyone's attention at the end of the week. Here's where: TAST 2012 Re-run in 2013.
Comment by Carol Riley on January 27, 2013 at 0:19 Starting a few weeks late. Have fabric, have needle and thread, where do I jump in?
