Comment by Margaret Blank on April 17, 2012 at 11:21 Just added my Weeks 14-15 block to my photo album. As you can probably tell, I ran out of inspiration. You can read a bit about my thoughts on this on my blog. :-)
Comment by Margaret Blank on April 5, 2012 at 12:38 Hello all,
I have enjoyed the time off as it allowed me to take my time with the Barred Chain Stitch. Once I got the hang of it, I rather liked it. My finished block is in my Stitchin' Fingers photo album, and also on my blog.
Comment by Deborah-Anne Odendaal on April 4, 2012 at 10:53 I agree with you Barbara. I am a few weeks behind but I will persevere, as well. I have really enjoyed watching all the variety of work being done everyone who has joined the challenge. It has encouraged me to dig deep and find my inner artist
Comment by Barbara Hagerty on April 3, 2012 at 17:51 I'm usually one who sees things through and doesn't get discouraged when I fall behind, but I must admit, this year has been far busier than I'd thought it would be. Consequently, I've done only the first stitch, and am working on the second! Thank you Sharon, for being so encouraging to those of us who are not working at the same pace as the rest of the group. I plan to complete everything, even if it takes me longer than this year to do it, because I'm so looking forward to having a wonderful reference of stitches that I've stitched myself. If anyone else is behind the curve also, you're not alone. Even though I've done only one so far, I will persevere!
Comment by Mertie on April 3, 2012 at 7:57 Howdy! I found my way in a few days ago to leave my post about my felted TAST project and couldn't find my way back in! lol Thank you! I am just amazed by what i see in here and think this is the most inspiring and imaginative place. A wonderful place to learn for sure! I wish there were more hours in the day so that every single blog can be looked at read completely because once you get into one, you HAVE to read everything! Have a super day!
Comment by Ladka Peneš on April 2, 2012 at 16:37 I made a number of Easter postcards stitching on wool felt and posted some of them on http://stitchinfingers.ning.com/profile/LadkaPenes. I published a previous "batch" on my blog www.mamaladka.blogspot.com
I enjoyed making them very much and hope the receivers will like them.
Hi all I am sending out a heads up as I moved my blog yesterday - it is settling down on new servers. It takes about 24 hours for the move to take effect the term they use if "propagate" So my blog is nearly finished "propagating" ready for TAST tomorrow. Looking forward to getting back to more stitching and less blogging!
the web address is still
Merle, your work is lovely, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog and have become a follower. How inspiring you are.
Comment by Barbara/Hopscotch on March 31, 2012 at 12:19 Just to say to those of you who feel a bit overwhelmed by the TAST challenge. - Hang in there!
When you are trying to learn new stitches; there are ones that come easily to you and other that try your patience to the limit, but the main thing is you are trying and learning at the same time! So what if your sample isn't perfect? We all started out feeling that there were so many stitchers who would find our efforts amateurish(me included).
Nothing could be further from the truth! Everyone comes here for the same reason - to learn, improve and most importantly, to support one another. That, plus perfecting the art of ogling the wonderful photographs!)
So come on, don't give in; you'll have something wonderful to look back on - a yearsworth of experience and a collection of stitches to be proud of!
Wishes & Stitches
Barbara
