Well only one week late but that's ok since this was to be a 4C week I can use it to catch up the uploading!
This week is french knots .. I have always wondered what the difference was between french knots and bullion stitch and as I do read things before I upload them I can now see that french knots are what looks like a simpler version of the bullion... so there is a point in my continuing to upload even though I have yet to sew anything beyond stitch 10.
Step by step diagrams are here and last year's samples are here, looks like many more people joined in again at this point as there are over 80 samples in flickr.
Then I look forward to seeing what you do with them... I'm personally looking forward to back stitch... purely because that is the only stitch I have had any time to do for months and yes I too find it a very relaxing stitch.
Ah you were on my wavelength... the difference between the two stitches. Thank you for that... yes I realise it was easy to look up but only an embroiderer would actually do it... and now we all know.
My favourites are the first two ribbon floss and Kreinik braid #8; perhaps because I have never tried using either and they have such a lustrous appearance.
Now looking closely at your picture row one looks larger than row two.. why is that?
Also had you not mentioned the spelling error there are bound to be people like me who never noticed it.
