Thanks go to Ruth for her gentle reminder that I had forgotten about TAST... again. I will need to put a note on my calendar as otherwise this will be a common event since I have the whole year off from work and as such one day is the same as the next.

Reading Sharon's blog it seems as though many people had started to hit the wall by this stage and she was also tossing up on changing the schedule to incorporate rest weeks... we luckily have had those all along but still life gets in the way.

Whether you are up to date or not make sure you check out last year's samples.. there are many WOWs in that flickr page.... and I couldn't even pick one favourite.

Oh I forgot to say this week's stitch is satin stitch and if you need further directions on making it check out the stitch dictionary and also stitchopedia ( plain satin, alternating satin or padded satin), although I think most of us have done this one before.

I know how to do satin stitch, so I'm not going to include it on my sampler. I enjoyed looking at all those samples on Flickr, though - especially Lin Moon's Japanese embroidery - stunning!

Ahh a stitch I too can say I have completed as I have used this one on numerous occassions.

I changed my mind about leaving it off my sampler. I've always wanted to try Bargello, so I tried to follow Sharon's sample on her TAST Week 22. Mine didn't look anything like hers, so I guess Bargello isn't as easy as it looks. But I would like to pursue this at some time in the future.
