Well I hope this repeated lateness and forgetfulness isn't indicative of how the whole year is going to run. Yes I had totally forgotten to upload the week's stitch yesterday because, and this is the truth, I had no idea what day it was / is. Yes holidays do that to me and I love it.

Things have been very quiet since I returned from holidays and I'm not certain that anyone is still doing TAST but as I have time to upload it I will keep it going as it gives me a weekly nudge to remind me that I should be getting back into it.

this week's stitch is crossed buttonhole and Sharon has a few variations on her blog with more detailed instructions can be found in her stitch dictionary. Lat year's group. There are some interesting samples also to be found in last year's flickr page.

Hoping everyone is still progressing... or do people want to leave it and start again in a few months.

Hello Cinza,

I had been waiting for this and suddenly realized I needed to refresh my page - and low and behold there it was! I am still working on butterfly chain, but I can think about the next one.

It only went up today... if you had of refreshed any earlier it probably wasn't here :-)

True - it went up between me looking this morning and refreshing my page just before i made that last comment. I hope to finish butterfly chain tonight.

Oh Cinzia, I'm sure there are still many of us logging into this group to see what the next stitch is, but like me, they just haven't been able to keep up for one reason or another. I felt bad when I saw your comment; it can be disheartening trying to keep something going on a long term basis, and wondering if it is worth the trouble.
As far as I am concerned personally, some of the more complex stitches are beyond me - you can interpret that as me just not being interested in doing something that is going to take me too long to work out! But it is no reflection on you (or Sharon B) - I still read the Group messages board and look at all the instructions, and everyone's samples.
I haven't had much time to do any stitching over the past few months, with Christmas and other life issues getting in the way, but I have earmarked the stitches that I want to add to my sampler, and as soon as they are done, I'll post a photo on the TAST photo album.
So! Please keep doing what you are doing - it really does motivate and encourage us.

Thanks Gina,
I'm quite happy to continue on those grounds...

Thank you for the nudge. I am off to a slow, timid start. I uploaded (at least I think I did) a photo of my Butterfly Chain samples. In my photos and created a TAST album (I hope). It took a while to get organized. This is my first stitch sample. Please let me know if you can't find the image.

Hi Celeste,
sorry but I can't find it.
To create a direct link- open the web page with the photo and highlight the web address then copy it; next go to your blurb about it (like the bit above this) and highlight the relevant word/s (e.g. butterfly chain); then click the link key (like a sideways 8 just above where you type); a window turns up and in that window you will see a place to put the web address, type it in there; hit OK and when you add your reply there will be an automatic link.
Let me know if this doesn't work.

Hello Cinza,

When I initially read this yesterday, I didn't read it all!! My apologies for that. I am still doing TAST and I would appreciate you keeping going. However, if everyone else wants a break for a bit I am easy. The school start is getting close - have you planned your trip away yet?

Hi Ruth,
I plan to keep going as I have every intention of actually doing TAST and I know if I stop uploading there is no chance of my getting around to it. As it is every week I read Sharon's notes and check out the stitch. I have even advanced as far as choosing some fabrics for making a crazy patch quilt... so that puts me only 20 weeks behind... but intending to catch up.
We have booked a cruise for 19th March until the 5th April so that will mean that we will have a 4C fortnight in March rather than a 4C week but other than that everything will continue full steam ahead.

Iam still trying to catch up on the stitches. This challenge gives me diversion from my usual embroidery.

What kind of embroidery do you usually do? Being a patchworker I have no idea about embroidery and figured everyone used stitches like this regularly.

I have just up loaded my sample of crossed buttonhole.
