This is definitely a late night posting. My youngest son is home again and I am certain he has taken us over our limit in just two weeks. The internet is so slow we must have been capped.
well talking of slow, last week was definitely a slow week as far as TAST goes with only one sample being posted. Now I have an excuse as I was at camp.... talk about an eye opening experience.. what a coincidence with last week's stitches forming open eyes in some cases:-)
Apart from our group slowing down this appears to have been a slow point with the original TAST group as there are only 30 samples posted, but I must say they are well worth checking over particularly if you like flowers.
step by step directions can be found here.
well only three days to go and then I will be on holidays and so hopefully will be able to catch up.
Hope everyone has their xmas shopping under control because the shopping queues are not looking pretty these days.
Perseverence is the name of the game, Cinzia! I had given up on Bonnet Stitch, Palestrina and Butterfly Chain stitch, but tonight I got two of my embroidery stitch encyclopedias out (Readers Digest and Jan Eaton) and found instructions for the above stitches. Hope Sharon B isn't reading this, but I could follow the step by step instructions in the books much easier than Sharon's online pictures! So I've added them to my repertoire, and I've scanned my sample fabric to post a pic on my blog (no way am I going to post it on the TAST Flickr site - shame, shame!!)
Send me a link when you get around to posting to your blog as I love checking out everyone's work.... inspiration and jealousy is what it is ... but unfortunately time i don't have.
I love your fabric postcard - Colours of the Rainbow.
Your stitch sample looks a lot like mine when I stopped.. I really should do as you say 'get in there and try' otherwise my stitches will never improve.
