In Sharon's notes on this week's lesson she mentions her on line classes with joggles. Now although she has nothing scheduled it is worth checking out the classes she does offer as there are some beauties and you can put your name don to be notified when they will next be scheduled. Personally I think these notes are very good as a starting point but I am sure that if you actually did on of her classes you would gain so much more and be able to take your sewing to a new level.

Onto this week's stitches woven wheel and whipped wheel.

Photos from last year's group can be found here.

Now to start packing for school camp. See you all next weekend and looking forward to checking out everyone's samples. I am hoping to have a bit of spare time at camp (?).. is it obvious I have never been on a school camp.... anyway hopefully I score some free time and will do a bit of catching up.

They seem to be very popular of late... I have heard them mentioned several times on some of the online groups I'm in... and I am refusing to buy one...

Glad to hear you are catching up ... have been working flat chat cleaning out UFOs and half finished projects ... this week has been unbelievable. With the fires in Victoria one of my quilt groups decided to send down some quilts.
Luckily I only had to finish the border for one of the quilts so that was today's task... apart from that have managed to sew up three toppers and hopefully will finish another two by early next week... all that is needed is a quilter but that is a task for another day... so as hopeless as I am with catching up stitches.. this is to show that I do actually complete things:-)

Still Good Friday. I have done a woven wheel, but when I attempted the spoke stitch using the same stranded cotton, it didn't work at all, so I'll try it again with perle or crochet cotton.

ahh a hint for those who are lagging... leave the stranded cottons for another day. It does look lovely in the perle I must admit as I saw it on a friend's quilt a few weeks ago.

LOL Cinzia, I appreciate your advice, but I have three large tins full of stranded cotton that I've inherited or bought from various sources - DMC, Semco, Anchor, Clarkes, you name it. The only reason I've been using it for my TAST samples is because I've got so much of it, and only half a dozen skeins of perle!

And that is why I will be using coates embroidery cotton... although I have a large drawer full of that :)
