In Sharon's notes on this week's lesson she mentions her on line classes with joggles. Now although she has nothing scheduled it is worth checking out the classes she does offer as there are some beauties and you can put your name don to be notified when they will next be scheduled. Personally I think these notes are very good as a starting point but I am sure that if you actually did on of her classes you would gain so much more and be able to take your sewing to a new level.

Onto this week's stitches woven wheel and whipped wheel.

Photos from last year's group can be found here.

Now to start packing for school camp. See you all next weekend and looking forward to checking out everyone's samples. I am hoping to have a bit of spare time at camp (?).. is it obvious I have never been on a school camp.... anyway hopefully I score some free time and will do a bit of catching up.

I have just finished my woven and whipped wheels.
the silk ribbonm ones look just like those flowers people make... clever.
The silk ribbon ones are pretty easy Cinza - just follow the instructions - pull the first round tight and then the rest is loose!!
After seeing Cyberfyber's woven wheels using knitting yarn, I had to have a go with knitting yarn too.
Doesn't your sample look great particularly the one on the bottom left .. the russet and gold one. Is that one yarn or have you mixed a couple together?
Cinza, It is one yarn. I took a photo of the back to show the original yarns. I was too lazy to do a link to that photo. The yarn you are interested in is now bottom right. Thanks to your info in the reply to Celeste, I can now do links faster.
Thanks Riuth,
that is definitely an interesting yarn. Have you used it for something else?

By the way with your link you didn't copy it correctly. You copied
http://www.flickr.com/photos/stitchingbushwalker/3195430553/http://
whereas the correct address is
http://www.flickr.com/photos/stitchingbushwalker/3195430553/in/set-... (stitchin fingers has edited this bit to put the ... but you can still se what I am talking about)

When creating a link in the box which appears the http:// is already highlighted - it appears as though you have placed the cursor/blinker into the box just in front of this and also omitted part of the address.

When you go to paste into a box that has a highlighted part you can either hit delete first and it will clear that bit or you can simply use CTL V (control V) and it will delete the original blue bit and paste directly over that bit all in one action.
Thanks for that info - I will double check next link I do.
Well, I am on a roll, though I'm not sure how long it will last. I have now done this stitch, and I am so pleased to know how to do it. It's been one of those stitches I've seen and had no idea how they were worked. Here are the details and a photo is on flickr
Double success... learnt a stitch you have admired and used some fabric you didn't know what to do with... congratulations and it turned out well... now people can look at your samples with envy!
Hi, playing slow catch up, arm still in plaster, latest stitch here
Hey I don't have my arm in plaster and I'm still nowhere near this stage... love the spider webs and the felt. did you make your own felt....
