good job Liz and Lisa, Lisa I love your canary/bird ...hope that's what it is lol so cute!

Julia, that's such a pretty use of both those stitches!  And Jenny -- what fun you've had -- love that little Blanket Stitch fishy!

Now that I have two samples finished, I've created an album for them.  You can also see all the stitchy goodness I enjoy if you visit my blog.

Thanks!

Margaret

I just posted the buttonhole stitch additions to my January pages. Love that stitch. So much oppotunity to free-form it for those like me who like organic or abstract work. The yellow flower center is a raised buttonhole lace stuffed with a bit of cloth. More at my page.

My week 2 TAST photo...working at week 3 although it seems to be going rather slow for me. Haven't been feeling the greatest all week but am attempting to keep up! Everyone's work has been just beautiful to look at! Keep up the great work ladies!

A very pretty sampler, Lynn!  What count are you using?  It shows up your stitches beautifully.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks! I believe it's a 18 count fabric but was using the macro setting on my camera too. I'm thinking of switching it to a woven instead of the aida as thinking many stitches would be much easier to work on that type of fabric.

Am feeling a little better this morning I think...a bit of mid winter depression too I am thinking also even though we've had a very mild winter here in northern Mn. Going to push myself today and get some stitching done! Ha!

Thanks for the note!

Cheryl love your free form stiching block ...awesome!  Good job Lynn with your stitches ...keeping us all on track yaaaay!

I posted a photo here:

It's the way I find is the best to work the buttonhole stitch.
