Permalink Reply by Elizabeth Braun on January 10, 2012 at 4:19 Yup, me too. I also saw it on Monday evening and had a good look in my stitch dictionary for ideas before bed. I'm all ready to get started on my doodle pad before doing this week's picture - hopefully *all* in blanket stitch variations this time (I had to add stem stitch and 2 ribbon stitches to my fly stitch collection last week...)

Permalink Reply by Nancy Gardner on January 10, 2012 at 15:28 Beautiful and so inspirational to a newbie. I am so glad I am a part of this year of learning and applying.
Nice touch Julia - visualise me both hands pointed at the screen, hands closed and thumbs up!
Permalink Reply by Julia Welch on January 10, 2012 at 17:29 Thank-you. My hyacinths peeking sticking their heads up there are a little funky, but I like 'em!
Permalink Reply by vicki miller on January 10, 2012 at 18:09 Just happened to open up Judith Baker Montano's elegant stitches and saw two whole pages of button hole stitch variations - well, I have no excuse now, do I?
Permalink Reply by Tahlia on January 10, 2012 at 21:02 I like your hyacinths. :)
Why do I never get time to start stitching until Wednesday afternoon?? argh!
Permalink Reply by Sanhita Kar on January 11, 2012 at 0:25 I posted my buttonhole stitch samples in the Facebook Group and on my blog:
