Hi everyone,
well I have decided not to upload any stitches until a few people either catch up or return from holidays... seems as though life is getting in the way and so I thought it would be a good time for another break. As I am only home for four weeks and then away for another month how about everyone use that time to catch up.
I know it is only April but I propose that we start up again 1st of July. I will do a bit of advertising through the general forum in June and hopefully we can have some more takers for the second half of TAST.
Don't take this as an opportunity to give up though... use the time to catch up or experiment with those stitches you have already started... and don't forget to post pictures so we can all enjoy your work.
I have just got back to this Cinzia. (I had not clicked the Follow Me button!) I admire your son for wanting to work for Doctors Without Borders. While I was there I met a group of young trainee doctors from east coast USA - they were doing about 8 weeks in a hospital in Peitermaritzberg as an elective in their final year - they had some stories!
Congratulations on getting an online class accepted. Do let us all know which one it is please. I am dying to do an online class, but I have made a resolution to finish a few things that are under way first - three quilts, TAST and Stitch Explorer.
Enjoy your current trip - where is it to? I leave for Central Aust next week and come back early June.
I also have problems catching and I really like the idea of starting up again in july. I really struggle with having time for stitching but Im not going to quilt.

Oh Jan, it is hard isn't it...I don't have a job at the moment, and every morning I plan my day - I'll do shopping or housework in the morning and stitch all afternoon...Ha. Dream on. It only takes a phone call, and I get caught up in something else for the rest of the day. Anyway, like you, I'm not going to quit!
Is anyone at home yet? I've been busy tonight, working on the remaining stitches up to date, and now I only have the last two to go. Admittedly I've only done a short row of each stitch, but I'm a slow learner, especially when I have to teach myself via pictures and diagrams on the internet...I do pick up things faster from watching Mary's videos, or watching someone else stitch in front of me so I can ask questions. But I'm pleased with my progress in actually DOING some of these stitches, even just a couple of inches of each!
I am now home - got back from Central Australia last night - one shower and three swims in 18 days!! You can get clean enough with a bird bath every night! Gina, congratulations on getting some stitching done. I have to see to photos before I can stitch.
Hi Gina, I'm home - haven't been away!!!! Some people are lucky aren't they!!!! Since starting the sampler with all good intentions, alas with other things going on (swaps etc) have not completed very much. But I am ready to start when Cinzia is ready. If I'm out of order in what I'm stitching then that will be my 'artistic licence'. Because I only have one scroll frame in which I was working my stitches I have to take the band sampler out when stitching something else. One day will get myself another frame(?) I actually hope to go away October/Nov this year - then I can say 'I'm back'.............
