Hi everyone,
Yes I realise it should be a 4C week for catching up but as the majority vote has gone for time off while I am away I thought people wouldn't mind a stitch this week to try to placate those who had wanted to continue:-)

The main link is here, more instructions are here and 26 samples made by last year's group.
A new resource listed by Ruth is stitchopedia with very directed step by step directions, while it doesn't have bonnet stitch it is well worth bookmarking for those who are doing catch up and want another set of instructions. Not as realistic as Sharon's but good for people who can work with diagrams.

This is a new one on me, never heard of this before
looks interesting though
It does. Just been looking at the pictures. The execution looks a lot simpler than when you just look at the stitch, but we will see when we get needle and thread out
I have completed this weeks stitch. Picture of the completed block is on Flickr. All the detailed pictures are on my blog. I had deleted them before I remembered I hadn't uploaded them to flickr-sorry
Like you said on your blog it is a really good stitch and I also agree it does look difficult.... but I will put your words (about it's ease) to the test later today.
just finished this one, took me ages to work out how to do it
myra,,,,,,,,,,just loved your bonnet stitches...........how do you mark your fabric to do something like that...........stitches are so even.............jan in indiana

i think it should have been mayra................jan in indiana
it's done now. It was really good, that we took a break :-) Hope you're well and coming back soon!
here you can have a look
I have completed my bonnet stitch sample. I di not enjoy this stitch until I tried to do an organic design. Now I can see possibilities.
Yaaay! I've just added this to my repertoire. Once I ditched the stranded cotton and used perle, it was much easier. Not that I consider it an easy stitch, but at least I figured out how to do it.
