Took a while to conquer but real life is so much more rewarding. I now use it mostly for early morning reads of links about news, hobbies, and keywords that interest me.
Permalink Reply by LUCIA on December 27, 2011 at 14:39 I decided to open a twitter account when my son, a cadet at usafa, came up with swine flu on his freshman year. In spite of him being in the hospital on oxygen we could not get information from usafa officials. I figured other cadets and employees would be twitting about the epidemic at the academy in CO Springs. Sure enough. That's how I got progress reports on what was going on; and ever since, I've been sold on twitter.
I've made friends which I've met in person, and also hooked up with needs for lawyers, webmasters, merchandise, in a matter of seconds.I've known of my daughter's cancelled soccer game while in transit even before the coach knew. Twitter takes a learning curve to master, but it's worth it.

I would love to know what people think about the advantages of being on Twitter - I am not but am interesting in hearing why people like it as its incredibly popular with lots of people (including my husband)
