Okay I have not lost my mind I promise, I have begun the process of doing my bedroom in
a animal theme. I collect giraffes. I have aslo added a picture of the bedroom. I painted the animal
eyes over the bed for the room. I created "KENYA" for the room and now the QUILT SQUARE.
Kenya and the quilt square will go into a shadow box together. So have fun with this anything goes.
Enjoy I promise have not lost my mind, I love texture. Hugs, Kat Lees

Permalink Reply by Katherine A. Lees on August 2, 2011 at 17:37 This will be my block for the Group #1 Round Robin. Hopefully the colors won't intimidate any of you in the group. I've had these batiks laying around for a while so thought I'd try something newer for this round robin instead of the more traditional florals, etc. Just want everyone to have fun with it and do your thing! Can't wait to see what you'll come up with for me!

Oh! That is FABULOUS, Katherine!! :) I wish I were in this group (too) so that I could stitch on your block! <g> ... I got a chance to visit Kenya for a couple of weeks several years ago, and ever since I've been thinking how much fun it would be to create a safari themed quilt to commemorate the trip!
Permalink Reply by Susan Cuss on August 2, 2011 at 17:59 Hi Brinda. Just wanted to let you know I mailed my block out to you today. Yesterday was a holiday so I couldn't send it then. Hope it doesn't take too long to reach you. Would you please let me know when it arrives? Thank you, and happy stitching!
Hugs from Suz

I received Kim's block yesterday, and I've been admiring and studying it since. Today I gathered goodies from my stash to begin embellishing. What fun!
Brinda, I do hope you don't have to wait too long to receive my block. Can't wait to see what you do with it!
I am so looking forward to starting work on your block, Susan.
Kim, please let me know when my block gets to you. Thanks!
