Notifications

Has anyone else had the problem with notifications of comments repeating themselves.  Today I have received notifications that I received during the week of comments made on my work. I know another member is having the same problem so if I have replied twice to anyone I am not going dippy it is something to do with the computers.

Does anyone know if there is a solution

Hi Shirley, yes today I had notifications on 2 old comments, worrried me a bit as last night had a phone call from someone claiming to be mircosoft telling me I had a problem with my computer.Fortunately took out 5 years back up when I bought it so got on to my supplier and they said not to do anything about it,The caller wants you to turn on the computer and then they take it over and say you need to do various things to put it right for which they charge you so when I saw your query it made me wonder what on earth kis going on but it must be coincidence.Hope this helps and you can make sense of it!

Your comment came through this morning but I too have been getting two lots and in some cases nothing until I find something on my page and I notice a comment which did not come through. Sharon replied on the discussion about the (friend that wanted your e mail)

saying that she had sent a e mail to everyone I did not get this so I thought it was me. A bit strange as I had the e mail about the spam a couple of weeks ago. May be it will sort it self out, or it may be something did get through to cause these little glitches.

Just 2 mins ago I had an e mail from tast group that was posted on Wednesday something is not quite right.

I am getting notifications today as far back as last Tuesday.  Just been deleting them left right and centre.  It seems I got the 'Julia Drk' spammer message today when now I see where some people got it back last Wednesday.  It is all over the place.  Might be just ning having a hissy fit. 

Margaret, nobody from microsoft will contact you to report issues and request information from your computer.  This is a complete scam and a way for hackers to get into your computer.  Hang up the phone always.

Yep I am getting duplicate messages as well.

i unticked the boxes in my settings but still got one of those duplicate emails.   I hope this can get sorted soon  I think I will tick the box that says get no emails from SF until this is cleared up.

Like Shirley I clicked to have no emails but I suppose the ones that are coming through have been in space somewhere and are now being delivered. Had 12 when i turned back on just now going back to last wednesday.Also had one from a donna russ who is not a member so watch out for her.I am going to run Mcfee to do a full check and see what that reveals.

Hello Shirley.  Yup repeated and more repeated messages appear to come up everyday.  I also notice one person seem to be putting up the same or very similar photos over and over again.  Very annoying indeed.  I hope this problem can be resolved soon.  Hugs judy
