Thanks for the link to http://www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving/books.html#R  This is a treasure trove and I have already found some interesting patterns.  Have you seen the http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/  ?  This site has lots of old patttern books, scanned under the CreativeCommons licence so they are free for personal use.

Check out "Dover Samples".  http://www.doverpublications.com/ds014/  . Each week they post sample pages from their craft books that can be downloaded for free. Not specific embroidery designs, but patterns and pictures that can be turned into embroidery. I have found the "stained glass colouring book pages" particularly useful.  Regards, Annette

I tried to download two crochet edging catalogues ( from the antiquepatternlibrary) and i was getting a blank PDF document. It says we need to enter the password to open it? What should I do? Could you please help?

Hi Zeeniya,

You may be attempting to open the pdf from the site rather than your local copy.  This problem is mentioned in the site FAQ's - http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/html/warm/faq.htm .

Check that you are actually downloading the document and not just a link and that you have the latest Adobe reader.
