Although I love and appreciate hand stitching embroidery and needlework, I do most of my work on a sewing machine . My trusty Bernina is an extension of my body really and rarely gets put away !!

I love working free motion embroidery and quilting with a darning foot, use lots of dissolve fabrics and apply any kind of material down with machine stitch.

I am sure many  of us use both hand and machine stitch at various times to create beautiful and stunning needlework.

Would anyone be interested in a Machine Stitch group here on stitchin fingers?

Sharon B says we can start one if there is the interest from the members.

Anyone interested in joining me?

I'm learning by doing, and have made my first try, a tablet cover.

I'm in - and really looking forward to it.  It will be a great extension to my time spent learning free motion quilting last year.  Not to mention.......I am in desperate need to break out and do something - anything - new.  (I'm starting to decorate my rut......!)

that could be your first "assignment", machine embroider a representation of a rut! Think outside the box :)

Happy New Year to all you sewing enthusiasts.

I would be interested in joining the machine stitch group.  I do only machine emb, and free motion quilting.  By machine embrodery I mean done on my Berniina ie thread painting on all my art quilts.  I do very very little emb. by hand.

Thanks for the opportunity to be with like quilters and sewers.  Carol M.

I am another who does most of my work by machine so I would be keen tp try this group. It would be good to see and share ideas.

Can I ask for people to please share photos of their work if the group gets going? Dont be shy!

In other areas of this site I would love to see more photos when people describe their work.

I'm new to this ... and interested.

It's up and running!! Please join!!!!!
