Hi, everyone, I am a new member. I live in Hong Kong, Asia.

Nice to meet all and I am glad to be a member in here. I am pleased to find this web and can share stitching with fans.  In my place, stitching is not a common hobby.  But 3 years ago, I start to learn it from book then I am fascinated for it. I specially love cross stitch and specially love the symmetrical pattern such as Scandinavian, Czech & Austria style.

For me, there are many master-hands in here. I hope to learn more from all of you and share my handworks. I hope you don’t mind I can’t write good English.

Now I need to study how to make my page…load my photos…see you all soon. ^^

Hello Yvonne, your English is very good so don't worry about that!  I look forward to seeing your photos.  Kind regards, Lyn

Hello Lyn, please to hear your reply.  Here always make me keep going to make stitch.

I saw your wall hanging, woo, it's a huge job, it's amazing, colour is graceful. Thank you.

I also start to post my photo, it's my mini job---phone case. Now I only can make some mini petit tiny handworks. Just like the "Zakka" group in this web mentioned. To see others great job, really bring me to a new horizons.

Wellcome! Like you I enjoy learning new things from this blog and I come from a country- Greece- where stitching is not a popular hobby, despite our big tradition on this field! Modern times? Who knows?

Have fun!

Welcome Yvonne.............I'm sorry I have not replied earlier, but we've just had a 5 day break here in Australia for Easter/Anzac Day, and things have been busy with family.  I am loving your photographs, the colours and presentation.  I have to say your attention to detail is amazing.  I live in an area where most people don't care for stitching either, so I suppose we are all here for the same reasons.  I am interested in all kinds of embroidery and technology - not a specialist at anything apart from procrastinating.  WELCOME.

Hi, Anna & Linda, thank you for your warm welcome. You both right. We are all here for the same reasons. Even I’m not a specialist too, only looking at the works feels enjoy.

Btw, I suppose stitch in Australia is quite popular cos I found many Australian in here and at least I know “Spotlight”---a big handcraft store in Australia so I think handwork is a common activity at your place.

I feel little bit pity to talk about this shop. A few years ago, when Spotlight still in my place, sometimes I will visit it. After it closed, I lacked of a comfortable place to have threads shopping!!! They got so much color of DMC threads hang all over the wall. ~_~;

Thank you for your comment to my works. I’m still learning and try my best. I also like your different skills, such as Chiaramonte stitch, it’s my first time to see. And I enjoy your hardanger & knitting, too. ^^

Hello Yvonne, thank you for taking an interest in my stitching.  I have not had a lot of access to Spotlight stores so much.  I live at least 2½ hours' drive from the nearest one, but I do know that when I get there I have lots of goodies in my basket.  I have had to rely on good/specialist embroidery stores willing to offer mail/phone/internet orders.  I hope you try Chiaramonte stitch, it's easier than you might think.  I'm no rocket scientist!!

I like you said “it's easier than you might think” cos I really think it’s difficult when I saw your stitching. Thanks Linda, I’ll try my best. ^^
